Our Approach

Welcome to Psychcicle LLC, where we provide compassionate psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families navigating a variety of challenges, including sex therapy, from the comfort of your own home or the safety of our office. Our approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), all while maintaining a systemic lens to understand and address the interconnectedness of psychological issues.

At Psychcicle, we take a holistic view of therapy, focusing on how your relationships—whether with others or yourself—impact the issues you are experiencing. We explore the patterns of behavior that may be keeping these issues alive and work to identify ways to break out of unhealthy cycles. Whether it's a pattern of unproductive communication, emotional disconnection, or generational challenges, we believe that therapy's success lies in recognizing these patterns and replacing them with healthier alternatives. After all, while every pattern has its purpose, some cycles are meant to be broken.

Our name, "Psychcicle," is a play on words of the idea of the psychological cycle that many of us experience. Throughout our careers, we've noticed that psychological theories, evidence-based practices, and client experiences often reveal a common theme: people often find themselves stuck in patterns of behavior they may not even realize. From the mutual influence of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in CBT to the metaphorical "dance" couples engage in through EFT, therapy often uncovers cycles that need attention. Some patterns are helpful, but when they're not—such as generational patterns that perpetuate negative outcomes—they can create distress. We aim to identify and interrupt these cycles for positive change.

In addition to our clinical services, we are proud to provide supervision for pre-licensed and associate level clinicians. We provide valuable guidance to emerging therapists, helping them develop their skills in a supportive environment. We also offer internship opportunities for students from Drexel University and Capella University, and are open to becoming an internship site for additional universities for their social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy master and doctoral programs. By providing these opportunities, we are able to offer affordable, low-fee therapy services to our community while also contributing to the development of future mental health professionals.

At Psychcicle, we believe in the power of psychoeducation, and offer free psychoeducation classes to empower individuals with tools and knowledge for better mental health. Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality mental and sexual health education while fostering growth within the community.

Whether you're seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, sex therapy, or family therapy, we're here to help you break free from unproductive patterns and start building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
